1) Roll out your slab and bevel the side edges and join together
using slip (I like using magic water) to form a cylinder. 2) Determine the size of the base needed and cut. 3) Bevel your base and save the cut off. Use slip to attach the cut off to the base. Add more slip to the outside edges. 4) Trim the bottom of the cylinder and add slip to the cut edge. Flip the cylinder over and place on the base. I like to use a paint brush to press the clay to join the cylinder to the base. Sometimes you may need to add more slip to help create a nice seam. 5) Flip the whole thing over so the bottom is facing up. Now add more slip to the seams and using your fingers to join together.
