Magic Water

Use this instead of water, slip or vinegar. It really works great.

Score the area on both sides that are to be attached. Firmly but gently, press the two surfaces together.

The reason Magic Water works so well is that sodium silicate and soda ash are deflocculants.  They cause clay the particles to move freely, forming an intermingled bond. Another reason that magic water creates a strong bond is that sodium silicate is a solution of silica.

Try it, you'll like it.

1 gallon of water
3 TBL of sodium silicate
1½ tsp of soda ash

For a smaller amount:
21 oz of water
