| Two Part Tip When I trim lids I like to place some tissue between the base and the lid. This helps prevent the lid from getting stuck to the base. When I do shows in my area I'm always surprised at how many people don't know what a butter crock is. When looking over my pots they always just ignore them and go to my jars with handles on the top. Since I've started to stamp the word "Butter" on them I see more people pick them up more often and ask me about them. Talking to interested people definitely helps sales and since they started the conversation I don't come off as pushy. Ok, maybe this is a three part tip. |
